I am a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Colchester General Hospital and Oaks Hospital, part of Ramsay Health Care. I provide adult urological care: lower urinary tract symptoms, benign prostatic enlargement (BPE), prostate cancer diagnostics, haematuria (blood in urine), urinary infections, erectile dysfunction, penile and testicular problems. My particular area of specialist interest in uro-oncology, cancer diagnostics and treatment for urological cancers. I perform local anaesthetic freehand transperineal prostate biopsies as day case procedure. I offer minimally invasive treatment for BPE including HoLEP/Holmium Laser Enucleation of Prostate, conventional TURP and bipolar TURP. I did my basic medical training in Mumbai, India and commenced my higher surgical training in UK, completing my Urology training in West Midlands, rotating through various hospitals. I have done fellowships in open, laparoscopic and robotic uro-oncology. I strive to provide an open and personalised approach to care. Furthermore, I am keen to provide a service made easy for both the referring clinician and the patient. I understand the centrality of health to a patients general wellbeing and that of their family and loved ones. My private practice is based at the Oaks Hospital, Colchester. I offer virtual video, telephone and face-to-face appointments on a case-by-case basis.
